Live access, without giving anything away
The MCP connection is read-only and scoped to your organisation. Most tools connect with OAuth — give them the server URL and sign in, nothing to create beforehand. Clients that can't do the browser step use a personal access token instead, generated and revocable whenever you like. Either way it surfaces the same live inventory you already manage in your Portal — nothing more — and it never writes back. Connect the tools you trust, and disconnect them just as easily.

What is the Great Space Portal MCP?
It's a read-only MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that exposes your Portal's live inventory to AI tools you already use. Once connected, an AI assistant can look up spaces, check availability and pricing, and answer natural-language questions about your portfolio — without you exporting or copying anything.
Which AI tools work with the Great Space MCP?
Claude (via a custom connector, or the Claude Code CLI) and ChatGPT (via Developer Mode connectors) are both directly supported today. Because it's a standard MCP connection, any other MCP-compatible client can connect the same way.
What can I actually ask through the MCP connection?
You can list and filter the spaces in your Portal, look up full detail on any single space, ask natural-language questions that search your inventory the same way the Portal assistant does, and pull quick portfolio-level stats. It only reads — there's nothing it can create, edit, or delete.
How do I set up the MCP connection?
Create a personal access token from My Profile → Access Tokens in your Great Space account, then add it as a Bearer-token MCP connection in Claude, ChatGPT, or whichever tool you're using. The token is scoped to your organisation only.
Can I revoke access once I've connected an AI tool?
Yes. Every access token can be revoked at any time from My Profile → Access Tokens. Revoking it immediately cuts off that connection — the AI tool loses access to your Portal until you issue a new token.
Does the Portal MCP cost extra?
No. There's no separate charge for the MCP connection — it's available to every workspace provider account.
